Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd., the sole distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Nepal, has successfully launched the all-new Creta EV in Dhangadhi, addressing common concerns about electric vehicles among local customers.
The launch of the Creta EV is accompanied by Hyundai's effort to expand its RE-Lax charging network, which now boasts 66 active chargers (both DC and AC) across the country. This initiative aims to provide reliable service and support for both electric and petrol (ICE) models, building confidence among buyers.
To promote this initiative nationwide, Hyundai's senior management is visiting showrooms across Nepal. A special Meet & Greet event was held on June 25, 2025, at Hotel Flora in Chhatakpur, Dhangadhi, hosted by local dealer Dinesh 4 Wheels Pvt. Ltd. The event showcased new Hyundai models, including the Creta EV.
The Creta EV is priced competitively, starting at Rs. 51,96,000, while the locally assembled Creta ICE starts at Rs. 53,96,000—up to Rs. 9 lakh cheaper than the imported ICE models from 2025.
The Creta EV features a 42 kWh battery, producing 99 kW (132 bhp) and offering a range of 390 km. Its high ground clearance of 200mm and breakover angle of over 17 degrees make it suitable for light off-road use. The vehicle also prioritizes safety, featuring ADAS, six airbags, and a 360-degree camera for all-around protection of passengers.
