Mahindra Launches BE 6 and XEV 9e Electric SUV Models in Nepalese Market

    August 6, 2025

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has officially launched its next-generation electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, in Nepal during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo. The BE 6 is priced from Rs. 57 lakh, while the XEV 9e starts at Rs. 69 lakh.

Built on the advanced INGLO platform and driven by MAIA, Mahindra's pioneering automotive intelligence architecture, the new eSUVs offer a certified range of 557 km (MIDC P1+P2) for the BE 6 and 656 km (MIDC P1+P2) for the XEV 9e, thanks to a 79 kWh high-performance LFP battery pack.

The BE 6 will be offered in three variants — Pack One Above, Pack Two, and Pack Three Select — catering to different performance and feature preferences. The XEV 9e, meanwhile, will also be available in three trims — Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three.

Showcasing Mahindra's Heartcore design philosophy, the BE 6 and XEV 9e represent a fusion of bold innovation and emotional appeal. The BE 6 is sculpted with a sporty, performance-oriented silhouette, exuding energy and adventure, while the XEV 9e offers a more refined and luxurious SUV-coupé design.

Performance remains at the core of both SUVs. Most variants are powered by a 99 kW electric motor that ensures a smooth, responsive, and confident drive — whether for daily commutes or long-distance travel. The XEV 9e Pack Three variant steps it up with a powerful 199 kW output, delivering an exhilarating drive that sets a new benchmark for electric SUVs in its class.

Inside, both vehicles are equipped with immersive, tech-rich cabins designed to transform the driving experience. The XEV 9e features a striking cinematic triple-screen display that spans the full width of the dashboard, while the BE 6 offers a race-inspired digital cockpit that amplifies driver engagement.

Further enhancing the cabin experience are advanced technologies such as the VisionX augmented-reality heads-up display, Sonic Studio by Harman Kardon, and the LiveYourMood function that allows drivers to switch between preset themes — Calm, Cozy, and Club — adjusting ambient lighting, sound, and climate settings.

In terms of safety and intelligent features, both SUVs come equipped with comprehensive driver-assist systems. The BE 6 offers ADAS Level 2, while the XEV 9e steps up with ADAS Level 2+. Other highlights include 360° surveillance, the EyeDentity driver monitoring system, and a range of intuitive technologies designed to enhance security, comfort, and peace of mind on every journey.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Sachin Arolkar, Head of International Operations, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, "With the launch of the BE 6 and XEV 9e in Nepal, we are bringing a bold new electric mobility experience to a market that's rapidly evolving and embracing cleaner technologies. These SUVs represent the best of cutting-edge innovation, combining performance, intelligence, and design into a package that will resonate strongly with Nepali consumers."

Bookings for all variants are now open. Both models will be retailed in Nepal through the Agni Group, Mahindra's official distributor in the country.
