Agni Incorporated Private Limited, the authorized distributor of Mahindra automobiles in Nepal, has launched Mahindra's Electric Origin SUVs, the BE 6 and the XEV 9e, in Birgunj. This launch marks a significant milestone in the region's electric mobility journey, introducing a new era of innovation, performance, and sustainability in Nepal's automotive landscape.
Both models are built on Mahindra's advanced INGLO platform and powered by MAIA, one of the world's most intelligent automotive architectures. The BE 6 and XEV 9e feature 79 kWh LFP battery packs, delivering substantial driving ranges of up to 543 km and 656 km, respectively. The battery packs come with an industry-leading 8-year or 200,000 km warranty, offering long-term ownership confidence.
The BE 6 and XEV 9e include luxury amenities such as Harman Kardon Sonic Studio sound systems, Autopark functionality, EyeDentity driver and occupant monitoring, and the LiveYourMood cabin ambience system. The XEV 9e also features an AR-based VisionX heads-up display. Safety is a priority, with the BE 6 offering ADAS Level 2 and the XEV 9e offering ADAS Level 2+, complemented by 360-degree cameras and the ME4U connected vehicle platform.
The launch event in Birgunj was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Mr. Hari Gautam, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Birgunj; Ms. Veda Satasha Shrestha, Vice President of Agni Group; Mr. Vedant Shrestha, Research and Business Development Head of Agni Group; and Mr. Chaitanya Kagalkar, Country Manager of Mahindra & Mahindra.
