Mahindra is gearing up to officially launch its all-electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XUV 9e, in Nepal. Pricing details have been revealed, and the launch will take place shortly after the vehicles finish their testing in Nepal.
The BE 6 will be available in two variants, priced at Rs. 76.30 lakh and Rs. 83.80 lakh, while the XUV 9e will come in three trims priced at Rs. 77.65 lakh, Rs. 87.15 lakh, and Rs. 1.07 crore.
Both electric SUVs come with two electric motor options. Most variants are powered by a 99 kW motor, while one variant of the XUV 9e features a more powerful 199 kW motor. Customers will also have a choice between 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. These use Lithium Iron Phosphate chemistry and support ultra-fast charging, with the ability to charge from 20% to 80% in under 20 minutes using a 175 kW fast charger.
Performance-wise, the 59 kWh battery delivers 231 hp, and the 79 kWh unit produces 286 hp and 380 Nm of torque. Both SUVs can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds.
As for range, the BE 6 can deliver up to 682 km on a single charge, while the XUV 9e offers up to 656 km, based on the latest MIDC test cycle. Both SUVs run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, enabling ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), Autopark, and a host of connected car features.
Both models offer a stylish center console with drive mode selectors, gear shifter, dual cupholders, and dual wireless phone chargers integrated beneath the front armrest. Inside the cabin, the XUV 9e sports a tech-forward layout, consisting of a digital driver display, infotainment touchscreen, and a dedicated passenger display. The BE 6, in contrast, features a dual-screen setup. Both models are equipped with i-Link front suspension, a 5-link rear suspension with intelligent damping, brake-by-wire technology with an electronic booster, and variable gear ratio steering—enabling a compact 10-meter turning radius.
