Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer LS Auto has developed an all-wheel drive version of its debut model, the LEV-01. The company plans to launch this upgraded variant under a new name, LEV-X, in the Nepali market soon.
Nexon Ventures, the official distributor of LS Auto in Nepal, has confirmed that the LEV-X will be officially launched at the upcoming Nepal Mobility Expo 2025, scheduled for next month.
While the LEV-X retains the same exterior design as the existing LEV-01, it will feature several interior and performance upgrades. The LEV-X will come equipped with a dual motor setup producing a combined output of 198 kW, with one motor on each axle, delivering all-wheel drive capability. Additionally, the LEV-X will receive a larger 77 kWh battery, up from the 67 kWh unit used in the LEV-01. Interior upgrades include updated AC vents and refreshed cabin styling.
With a segment-leading 210 mm ground clearance and all-wheel drive, LS Auto claims the LEV-X is well-suited for off-road driving conditions. In addition to the LEV-X, Nexon Ventures also plans to unveil the LEV-05, a premium hatchback that will compete directly with the BYD Dolphin and Nammi 01 in Nepal's EV market.
