Great Wall Motor Launches Haval Jolion Max EV in Nepal

Great Wall Motor (GWM) has introduced the Haval Jolion Max EV at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, marking a significant expansion of its electric vehicle (EV) lineup in Nepal. The new model arrives as a larger, more premium electric SUV, enhancing GWM’s growing presence in the Nepalese EV market.

Pricing and Variants

The Haval Jolion Max EV is available at a special NAIMA launch price of Rs. 59.99 lakh. Regular pricing is set at Rs. 57.99 lakh for the Middle variant and Rs. 60.99 lakh for the Top variant. It joins the Ora 03 and Ora 5 in GWM Nepal’s expanding electric vehicle portfolio.

Performance and Range

The Jolion Max EV is powered by a robust 58.3 kWh battery pack, delivering a WLTC-certified range of over 400 km. Its electric motor generates 150 kW of power and 260 Nm of torque, ensuring strong performance and efficiency. The SUV supports 6.6 kW AC charging as well as DC fast charging, and features a heat pump to optimize efficiency across different weather conditions. It also includes Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing users to power external devices.

Design and Dimensions

Measuring 4,590 mm in length, 1,877 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height, the Jolion Max EV offers 190 mm of ground clearance, making it well-suited for varied terrains. The SUV boasts a modern design with a spacious cabin, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Comfort and Convenience Features

Standard comfort features include automatic climate control, rear AC vents, wireless charging, multiple USB ports, a six-speaker audio system, and a panoramic camera. The Top variant adds premium upgrades such as a panoramic sunroof, electric tailgate, ventilated front seats, a head-up display, and electric passenger seat adjustment.

Safety and Driver Assistance

The Jolion Max EV is equipped with advanced safety and driver-assistance technologies, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Change Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Braking. Essential safety systems such as ABS, EBD, traction control, ESC, hill assist, hill descent control, and driver fatigue monitoring are standard. Higher variants also include curtain airbags for enhanced protection.

Strategic Market Expansion

This launch follows GWM’s recent introduction of the Ora 5 EV in Nepal, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to the Nepalese market. Notably, Nepal is only the second market globally to receive the Haval Jolion Max, underscoring GWM’s growing focus on expanding its EV offerings in the region. With the Jolion Max EV now part of its lineup alongside the Ora 03 and Ora 5, GWM is poised to further broaden its electric vehicle portfolio in Nepal, with more models expected across various segments in the near future.
