Toyota Launches Ninth-Generation Hilux in Nepal at NAIMA Expo 2026

United Traders Syndicate, the official distributor of Toyota vehicles in Nepal, has unveiled the ninth-generation Toyota Hilux at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. The new Hilux is available at an attractive starting price of Rs 1.55 Crore. This latest iteration features a redesigned exterior, an updated cabin, enhanced technology, and a refined driving experience, all centred around Toyota’s “Tough and Agile” design philosophy.

Bold and Muscular Design

The new Hilux boasts a more assertive stance with sharper proportions and a muscular front-end design. At the front, slimmer LED headlights are connected by a central bar emblazoned with the TOYOTA name, giving the pickup a wider and more substantial appearance while retaining its signature rugged character.

Powerful Performance

Designed specifically for the Nepalese market, the Hilux is equipped with a robust 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 201 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. This power is transmitted through a six-speed automatic transmission, and the vehicle is available in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive configurations, depending on the variant. The lineup includes three variants: GX 4X2 AT, GX 4X4 AT, and VX 4X4 AT, offering buyers flexibility between everyday rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive for challenging terrains.

Dimensions and Practicality

The new Hilux measures 5,320 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, and 1,815 mm in height, with a 3,085 mm wheelbase. It is fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels and boasts an 80-litre fuel tank. Customers can choose from six exterior colour options. Practical updates include a new rear deck step and redesigned side steps, making it easier to access the cabin and cargo area.

To maintain its focus on durability and load-carrying capability, the Hilux continues with a double-wishbone front suspension and a leaf-spring rigid-axle setup at the rear.

Inside, the Hilux draws inspiration from Toyota’s latest SUVs, such as the Land Cruiser. The cabin features a horizontal dashboard layout with a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and users can access vehicle-related information remotely via the MyToyota app.
