The new store, located next to the MG Motors Showroom at Narayan Chaur, Naxal, Kathmandu, serves as a customer experience center. It offers test rides, product demonstrations, booking services, accessories, and merchandise. To ensure comprehensive customer support, River Mobility has also established a dedicated service center at VG Suzuki Service Center, behind Paropakar School in Tadha Marg, Bhimsenthan, Kathmandu.

The launch follows River Mobility’s successful participation in the NAIMA Expo 2026, where the company unveiled its flagship Indie electric scooter to the Nepali public. The expo generated over 150 pre-orders, culminating in a mass delivery ceremony held on the opening day of the Kathmandu store.

River Mobility aims to expand its retail presence across Nepal, targeting the opening of stores in all seven provinces by March 2028. In collaboration with Vishal Group, the company plans to develop an extensive retail and service network in key cities, enhancing customer accessibility and after-sales support.

Priced at Rs 3,70,000, the River Indie is a utility-focused electric scooter tailored for everyday commuting and practical use. It boasts a 4 kWh battery pack, providing an IDC-certified range of up to 160 km on a single charge and a top speed of 90 km/h. The scooter features 177 mm of ground clearance, 14-inch wheels, and an 18-degree gradeability, making it well-suited for varied road conditions and hilly terrain. Additionally, it offers 55 litres of lockable storage, designed to accommodate daily essentials and enhance its practicality for everyday errands.

Aravind Mani, Co-founder and CEO of River Mobility, emphasized that entering the Nepali market represents a major milestone in the company’s international expansion. He highlighted the importance of establishing a dedicated service center alongside the retail store, reflecting River’s commitment to customer trust and after-sales support. This collaboration aims to deliver a customer-focused retail and after-sales experience in Nepal.

River Mobility’s international expansion is supported by a recent funding round of US$120 million, which will fuel the company’s continued growth, product development, and long-term expansion plans across various markets. Founded in Bengaluru in March 2021 by Aravind Mani and Vipin George, River Mobility is dedicated to utility-first electric vehicles. Its flagship Indie model is engineered for practicality, storage capacity, and everyday usability, setting a new standard for electric mobility in Nepal and beyond.
