Bajaj Chetak Electric Expands Retail Presence in Nepal with New Experience Zone in Pokhara

Bajaj Chetak Electric has strengthened its market presence in Nepal by launching a new exclusive Experience Zone in Nayabazar, Pokhara. This strategic move aims to extend the brand’s electric two-wheeler network beyond the capital city of Kathmandu, enhancing accessibility in major urban centers.

The inauguration event saw participation from representatives of the Golchha Group and the leadership of Hansraj Hulaschand & Co. Ltd., the official distributor for Bajaj two-wheelers in Nepal. The new outlet adopts the Experience Zone format, offering a structured retail and service environment tailored specifically for electric scooters.

Designed to meet the needs of electric scooter buyers, the Pokhara facility integrates several key features. Customers can view vehicles on display, receive personalized consultations, arrange test rides, and get assistance with purchases. The center also includes a dedicated service area for Chetak Electric owners, ensuring post-sale support is readily available.

To enhance the customer experience, the Experience Zone features digital product interfaces. These tools allow prospective buyers to explore detailed specifications, understand charging processes, and learn about the overall usage of electric mobility solutions.

Alongside the retail expansion, Bajaj Chetak Electric continues to offer the Chetak 3501 in Nepal. Priced at Rs 3.24 lakh, this model targets the premium electric scooter segment. It boasts a certified range of 153 km on a single charge and achieves 0–80% charging in approximately three hours.

The Chetak 3501 is packed with modern features, including a spacious 35-litre under-seat storage compartment and a 5-inch TFT display. The display supports navigation, music control, and document access, providing a connected and convenient riding experience. Safety is also a priority, with advanced systems such as geo-fencing, accident detection, and anti-theft mechanisms—features that align the scooter with current trends in connected electric mobility.

The launch of the new Experience Zone and the positioning of the Chetak EV underscore a broader trend: the organized electric vehicle (EV) retail infrastructure in Nepal is gradually expanding. This growth parallels a rising demand for connected electric scooters within urban commuting segments, marking a significant shift toward sustainable transportation in the region.
