Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD vehicles in Nepal, has launched a new Essential variant of the BYD Atto 2, priced at Rs 45.95 lakh. This move makes the compact electric SUV more accessible to Nepali buyers. The existing BYD Atto 2 Premium remains available at Rs 48.99 lakh.
Design and Positioning
The BYD Atto 2 is positioned between the BYD Dolphin and the larger Atto 3. It is a compact electric crossover designed for urban driving, offering higher ground clearance and an SUV stance that suits Nepal's road conditions. The Atto 2 Essential retains the core electric powertrain and key features of the Premium variant but uses a smaller battery pack to achieve a lower price.
