Hongqi E-HS4 Launched in Nepal at NAIMA Expo 2026

The luxury electric SUV Hongqi E-HS4 was unveiled at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, offered at an exclusive NAIMA price of Rs 57.99 lakh, reduced from its standard price of Rs 59.99 lakh.

Performance and Battery Specs

Equipped with a 67.1 kWh battery and a 160 kW motor, the E-HS4 features rear-wheel drive and boasts an impressive 420 km range under WLTP testing. Dimensions include a length of 4,520 mm, width of 1,873 mm, and height of 1,647 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. The vehicle utilizes a permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor delivering 240 Nm of torque.

The 67.1 kWh battery pack operates on a 404.4V charging platform and holds an IP67 rating for durability. It consumes 16.4 kWh/100 km under WLTC conditions. The SUV supports DC fast charging, achieving 30 to 80 percent charge in approximately 20 minutes, and includes V2L functionality with a maximum output of 3.3 kW.

Exterior Design

The E-HS4 showcases a sleek design highlighted by an integrated panoramic glass roof, semi-hidden door handles, and LED headlights with daytime running lights. It is fitted with automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and a power tailgate that includes position memory. The tailgate provides 393 litres of cargo space, expandable to 1,300 litres with rear seats folded.

The SUV is mounted on 18-inch wheels with 225/50 R18 tyres at the front and 235/50 R18 tyres at the rear. Its suspension consists of MacPherson struts at the front and multi-link independent suspension at the rear, while braking is managed by ventilated discs upfront and disc brakes rearward.

Interior and Comfort

Inside, the E-HS4 offers a technology-rich cabin featuring an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster and a large 14.6-inch central touchscreen. The interior includes bio-material seats combining silicone leather and suedette, alongside a synthetic leather steering wheel with multifunction controls.

Front seats come with six-way power adjustment and four-way lumbar support, both with ventilation features. Additional comfort elements include 64-colour dynamic ambient lighting, automatic climate control, a 15W wireless phone charger, and a 12-speaker audio system.

Advanced Technologies

The E-HS4 incorporates heat-pump technology and Cell-to-Chassis technology for enhanced efficiency and performance. The cabin is equipped with a front single-zone climate control system and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold functionality.

Safety Features

Safety is a priority, with the E-HS4 including driver and front passenger airbags, front-row side airbags, side curtain airbags, and a far-side airbag. It also offers electronic stability control, ABS, electronic brakeforce distribution, hydraulic brake assist, traction control, active rollover protection, dynamic braking function, and multi-collision braking.

Driver Assistance Systems

A comprehensive driver assistance package is available, featuring adaptive cruise control, lane centering control, automatic lane change, intelligent speed assist, traffic sign recognition, front vehicle departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and emergency lane keeping.

Additional features include blind-spot detection, lane-change assist, door-open warning, rear collision warning, 360-degree surround view, transparent chassis view, and reversing image.
