MG S6 Electric SUV Launch in Nepal – Premium Mid-Size Option Arrives May 11

MG is set to expand its electric vehicle lineup in Nepal with the highly anticipated launch of the MG S6 on May 11. The new mid-size electric SUV will enter one of the country’s fastest-growing EV segments and go head-to-head with established rivals such as the BYD Sealion 7, Deepal S07, and Leapmotor C10.

MG S6 Position in Nepal Lineup

The MG S6 will join the existing MG IM6, MG S5, and MG4 EV in MG’s Nepal portfolio. It is positioned between the S5 and IM6, offering customers a new option in the premium mid-size electric SUV category.

Design and Exterior Features

Built on MG’s Modular Scalable Platform—the same architecture used in the MG4 EV—the S6 features a sharp, modern design language with a more aggressive stance than previous MG SUVs.

• Angular LED headlamps with a sculpted fascia inspired by the MG Cyberster
• Full-width LED light bar at the rear
• Strong character lines and a coupe-like silhouette for a sportier appearance

MG claims the S6 carries a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, reinforcing its appeal in the premium segment.

Battery, Powertrain, and Performance

The MG S6 is equipped with a 77kWh NMC battery pack and supports DC fast charging up to 144kW. In the Nepalese market, it will be offered in a single-motor rear-wheel-drive variant producing 180kW and 350Nm of torque.

MG has clearly focused on practicality with the S6. The SUV offers 674 litres of luggage space with all seats in place, which expands to 1,910 litres with the rear seats folded. Additionally, the vehicle includes a 124-litre front trunk, providing extra space for charging cables and small travel items.
