NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026: full buyer's guide

The NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, organised by the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association, is Nepal's largest vehicle showcase of the year. Four-wheelers from 29 brands and two-wheelers from 18 brands were on display, with vehicles priced from about Rs 18 Lakh to nearly Rs 4 Crore. Banks at the venue offered financing with 40 percent down payment, and many brands announced expo-only discounts, cashbacks and gift schemes for bookings made during the show.

The clearest theme of the expo was the price war in electric cars. Tata repositioned its whole EV range: the New Tiago EV facelift now starts at Rs 28.99 Lakh, the Punch EV 2026 starts at Rs 32.99 Lakh with a bigger 40 kWh option, the Nexon K3 EV brings six airbags and a 360-degree camera at Rs 48.99 Lakh, and the Curvv EV coupe tops the lineup at Rs 56.99 Lakh. Chery entered the market with the Q crossover at an introductory Rs 30.99 Lakh for the first 100 units, while BYD answered with facelifted Atto 1 and Atto 3 models and the Atto 2 Essential at Rs 45.95 Lakh.

The expo also widened Nepal's EV body-style choices. Pickup buyers got two electric options, the Maxus eTerron 9 Comfort at Rs 88 Lakh and the MG U9 at Rs 98.99 Lakh. Families got three-row electric options in the Wuling Eksion, Wuling Darion and Mahindra XEV 9S. GWM entered the EV race with its first electric model, the Haval Jolion Max, and Nepal became only the second market in the world to receive it.

In two-wheelers, Yadea launched three new scooters between Rs 2.30 and 3.65 Lakh, Hero's Vida brand arrived with the VX2 Go and VX2 Plus, Bajaj expanded the Chetak family, River brought the Indie at Rs 3.70 Lakh, and Ultraviolette launched the X47 crossover motorcycle. Petrol holdouts were not forgotten either: Toyota's Hilux and RAV4 hybrids headline a growing hybrid segment alongside the BAIC BJ30e.
