The inauguration was led by Damodarkunda Rural Municipality Chairperson, Mr. Lopsang Chomfel Bista, marking a significant milestone in the region's sustainable mobility.

The new EV charging station, installed by Omoda & Jaecoo, boasts an impressive altitude of over 3,500 meters above sea level, making it the highest-altitude EV charging station in Nepal. According to Mr. Krishna Pokharel, General Manager – Service & After Sales at SPG Automobiles, the installation was made possible through consultations with local representatives and stakeholders, despite the absence of a 33 kV transmission line from the Nepal Electricity Authority.
