Geely EX5 Debuts in Nepal with Cutting-Edge Short Blade Battery Tech
Nepal's EV market is booming with annual sales growth reaching up to 180 percent, and electric vehicles now comprise nearly 75 percent of total automobile imports. Geely Auto Group introduced its new Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) Short Blade EV battery technology, featuring high safety, improved energy density, and fast charging capability. The battery can handle up to 3,500 charging cycles (around one million kilometers) and retains over 90 percent capacity at minus 30 degrees Celsius. The Geely EX5, equipped with a 160 kW motor, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and charges from 30% to 80% in 20 minutes using a 100 kW DC fast charger. Designed to withstand Nepal’s challenging terrain, the EX5 features a reinforced grid-frame structure and Cell-to-Body integration for enhanced protection against impacts and flooding.
