MG HS Plug-in Hybrid SUV Teased in Nepal First Launch
MG Nepal has teased the upcoming MG HS Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), marking the brand's entry into the hybrid segment in Nepal.. The global-spec MG HS PHEV features a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine paired with an electric motor and a 21.4 kWh battery, delivering a combined output of 272 PS and 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.. The SUV boasts an electric-only range of up to 100 km (WLTP), equipped with 13 ADAS, seven airbags, dual 12.3-inch digital displays, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a spacious cabin with 507 litres of cargo space.. Paramount Motors has not yet revealed the launch date, pricing, or Nepal-specific variants of the MG HS PHEV.. Expect more details on the MG HS PHEV to be announced closer to its official launch in Nepal.

BAIC Launches BJ30 Hybrid SUV at Nepal Mobility Expo 2026
Chinese automaker BAIC enters Nepal with the BAIC BJ30 Hybrid SUV debuting at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. The BJ30 features BAIC’s Magic Core DHEV hybrid system pairing a 1.5L turbo petrol engine with dual electric motors for 409 hp and 685 Nm torque. The rugged hybrid SUV offers 215 mm ground clearance, multiple driving modes, and a spacious interior with a 10.25-inch digital cluster and 14.6-inch infotainment screen. Practical features include a 300 kg roof rack, V2L power supply, and 1,902 mm cargo space with rear seats folded. BAIC, a major Chinese automaker with joint ventures with Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai, expands into Nepal’s growing hybrid SUV market.

Vida Electric Scooter Launch at NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026
Hero MotoCorp’s Vida brand is set to enter the Nepali market with the Vida VX2 electric scooter at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, marking Hero’s first dedicated EV offering in Nepal. The VX2 lineup in India includes multiple configurations with battery capacities ranging from 2.2kWh to 4.4kWh, offering ranges up to 187km and top speeds up to 90 km/h. Vida has achieved over 200,000 retail sales in India since its launch in October 2022, doubling sales from the first 100,000 units in just eight months. Specific details for the Nepal launch, including the variant, pricing, and distributor, will be announced at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.

Arcfox T1 Electric Crossover Launch Nepal NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026
Laxmi e-Mobility, distributor of BAIC and Arcfox in Nepal, is preparing to launch the Arcfox T1 EV ahead of the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. The Arcfox T1 is a compact electric crossover with a 95 kW motor, 42.3 kWh LFP battery, and a CLTC-certified range of up to 425 km. Performance highlights include a 0-50 km/h time of 5.2 seconds, a top speed of over 150 km/h, and Level 2 ADAS safety features. Expected to be priced between Rs 40 lakh to Rs 45 lakh, positioning it against rivals like the BYD Dolphin and Proton e.MAS 5 in Nepal’s mid-range EV segment. The B03 offers up to 500 km range on a single charge, with DC fast charging capable of 30%-80% in about 16 minutes. Equipped with advanced tech including Level 2 ADAS, LiDAR sensor, Qualcomm chipsets, and over-the-air software updates. Expected to arrive in Nepal in two variants, competing directly with the BYD Atto 2 in the affordable electric SUV segment. G.O. Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. has launched a new daily EMI scheme for the MG Comet EV in Nepal, allowing customers to own the vehicle for Rs 520 per day or Rs 15,535 monthly, making electric mobility more accessible. The MG Comet EV is priced from Rs 18.75 lakh and features a 17.3 kWh battery, 31.26 kW motor, and 230 km range, optimized for urban driving with a spacious cabin and easy maneuverability. The compact electric hatchback includes advanced features like LED lighting, keyless entry, a digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and safety equipment such as dual airbags, ABS, and parking sensors.
