MAW Vriddhi Autocorp Pvt. Ltd. has introduced the all-new Changan Nevo Q05 in Pokhara, marking a significant expansion of the brand’s electric vehicle portfolio in Nepal. The compact electric SUV, available in the Ultra variant, is priced at Rs. 51.99 lakh and will be showcased during a four-day test drive event from Ashoj 3 to 6 at the Deepal Pokhara Showroom in Chauthe, allowing customers to experience the vehicle firsthand.
The Nevo Q05 is designed as a compact electric SUV that emphasizes comfort, style, and advanced technology. Changan describes it as delivering an “A Class Above” experience, combining a sleek exterior with a spacious and tech-rich interior. The vehicle boasts a 2,735 mm wheelbase and utilizes 86.6 percent of the cabin space, offering ample room for up to three adults in the rear. The rear seats feature two reclining positions at 28 and 33 degrees and are constructed with a nine-layer ergonomic design for enhanced comfort.
Practicality is further enhanced with a 540-litre dual-level boot, including 90 litres of concealed storage, and the cabin provides up to 29 storage spaces. Changan has addressed over 67 points for sound insulation and noise reduction to ensure a quiet ride. Selected variants come equipped with a 1.8-square-metre panoramic glass roof and a powered sunshade, adding to the cabin’s open and airy feel.
The design of the Q05 was led by Klaus Zyciora, Changan Global Design Vice-President and former Head of Design at Volkswagen Group, with contributions from over 915 design professionals across 31 countries. The SUV adheres to Changan’s Fuguang design philosophy, featuring an aerodynamic profile with a drag coefficient of 0.265 Cd. Notable exterior features include the Digital Wing 2.0 full-width lighting signature, star-ring matrix LED taillights, and semi-hidden door handles. The Q05 has also been honored with the 2026 Golden A’ Design Award.
Powering the Nevo Q05 are CATL battery cells integrated with Changan’s Golden Shield Battery 2.0 technology. The vehicle’s 3C fast-charging system supports DC charging, enabling a 30 to 80 percent charge in approximately 15 minutes under optimal conditions. The SUV is driven by a 120 kW electric motor, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and offering a claimed range of 405 km under WLTC testing, with an energy consumption rate of 12.9 kWh per 100 km.
The interior of the Q05 is equipped with a 14.6-inch 1080P touchscreen powered by an automotive-grade MTK8675 processor based on a seven-nanometre architecture. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard features, enhancing connectivity and convenience. Depending on the variant, the SUV can be outfitted with up to 18 driver-assistance functions and a 540-degree panoramic viewing system, further bolstering its technology and safety offerings.
The launch event in Pokhara was graced by Shova Gautam, President of the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industries, as the chief guest.
