BAIC BJ30 Hybrid SUV Seen in Kathmandu Before Nepal Launch
BAIC is entering Nepal's SUV market with its BJ30 Hybrid SUV, marking the brand's first passenger vehicle offering in the country. The BJ30 features a 1.5L turbo petrol engine paired with electric motors, delivering 409 hp and 0-60 mph in 6.59 seconds. Equipped with a 10.25-inch digital cluster, 14.6-inch infotainment screen, and practical features like V2L capability and 300 kg roof rack. Offers multiple driving modes including Comfort, Economy, Sport, Snow, Mud, Sand, and Wading for diverse terrain handling. River Indie Electric Scooter Launches in Nepal at NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026 Priced at Rs 3.70 Lakh
The River Indie electric scooter, developed by Bengaluru-based River Mobility, is set for its Nepal debut at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, entering the premium EV segment priced at Rs. 3,70,000.. The electric scooter boasts a 4 kWh battery pack, offering an IDC-certified range of up to 160 km per charge, a top speed of 90 km/h, and 18-degree gradeability, making it suitable for Nepal's varied terrain.. Featuring 177 mm ground clearance, 14-inch wheels, and a 55-litre lockable storage compartment, the River Indie has also earned prestigious Red Dot Design Awards for both Concept (2024) and Product (2025).. River Mobility has achieved a production milestone with the rollout of its 50,000th Indie scooter, less than three years after it began production in August 2023.

Kids Electric Dirt Bike Vida Dirt.E K3 Model Review
Vida introduces the Dirt.E K3, an electric off-road motorcycle designed for children aged 4-10, marking its expansion into Nepal as the first market outside India for Hero MotoCorp’s electric brand. The Dirt.E K3 features a 350W continuous electric motor, a removable 360Wh battery, and three riding modes (8, 16, and 25 km/h) adjustable via a parent app. The bike includes safety features like a child-sized brake lever, impact-absorbing components, and a magnetic lanyard kill switch, plus a three-stage adjustable frame for growing riders. Manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s green facility in Tirupati, India, the Dirt.E K3 has received the Red Dot Design Award 2025 and CES Innovation Award 2026. Priced at Rs 1,99,900, the Dirt.E K3 targets recreational riding to introduce young children to off-road electric motorcycles.

Tata Punch EV Facelift Debut at NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026
The facelifted Tata Punch EV debuts in Nepal with a larger 40 kWh battery, boosting range to 468 km (ARAI) and 355 km (real-world). Performance upgrades include 129 hp, 154 Nm torque, and a 0-100 km/h time of under nine seconds. Improved charging allows 20-80% in 26 minutes via a 65 kW DC fast charger, adding up to 135 km in 15 minutes. New features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, ventilated seats, and six standard airbags. Vida Launches VX2 Electric Scooters and Dirt.E K3 in Nepal Global Debut
Hero MotoCorp launches its electric brand Vida in Nepal, marking its first international market expansion with three new models. Vida VX2 Go offers 75 km range and 70 km/h top speed for Rs 2,99,900 while VX2 Plus delivers 140 km range and 90 km/h top speed for Rs 3,99,900. Both scooters feature DC fast charging (80% in 65 mins), removable batteries, and smart connectivity via the My Vida app. The Vida Dirt.E K3 electric off-road motorcycle for ages 4-10 priced at Rs 1,99,900 includes parental controls and won international design awards. Vida enters Nepal's fast-growing electric scooter market competing against TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak Electric, and Ather Rizta.
